Mandatum Oyj: Mandatum positioned among the best in its field in Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating

Mandatum succeeded well in the latest Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating for investors and is now ranked in the low ESG risk category. Among companies in its subindustry, Mandatum's result was in the top two percent.

Mandatum's three ESG ratings have now been updated, and most recently the company achieved a score of 13.6 in the Sustainalytics assessment (on a scale of 0-100). With this result, the company falls into the low ESG risk category. Mandatum is now placed in the top two percent among companies in the asset management and custody services subindustry.

The Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating is one of the most well-known metrics describing companies' sustainability efforts, which investors use to assess companies' ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) risks. ESG represents three different areas of corporate responsibility and sustainable finance: environmental responsibility, social responsibility and good governance. In the assessment, companies are classified into categories of negligible, low, medium, high and severe ESG risk.

In the MSCI assessment updated in November, Mandatum achieved an ESG rating of "AA" (on a scale of CCC-AAA). This rating category reflects a company that is a leader in its industry in managing ESG risks and opportunities. In October, ISS ESG awarded Mandatum Prime status, indicating that the company's ESG rating is among the best in its industry. In addition to high-quality ESG ratings, Mandatum recently achieved excellent results in the UN PRI assessment, which measures the UN Principles for Responsible Investment.
