NIMBUS GROUP STRENGTHENS ALUKIN BRAND’S POSITION IN NORWAY THROUGH DEALER AGREEMENT WITH GRIMSTAD BÅDSENTER AS
Nimbus Group AB (publ) has signed an agreement with Grimstad Bådsenter AS, making them a new dealer of Alukin brand boats in the Agder region on the Norwegian South Coast, Sörlandet. The agreement ensures that Nimbus Group continues to strengthen its and the Alukin brand's position in Norway.
Grimstad Bådsenter has previously been a dealer for Nimbus brand boats but is now expanding its offerings by also including boats from Nimbus Group's Alukin brand. Last fall, Nimbus Group signed a contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to develop a new workboat under the Alukin brand for the Swedish Armed Forces. Alukin's fully welded aluminum boats are very robust and durable, and interest in them has increased following the agreement with FMV.
"The collaboration with Grimstad Bådsenter gives Alukin the opportunity to reach new customers in both the leisure boat and various commercial segments. After the order from FMV, Nimbus Group sees great opportunities for Alukin going forward and intends to continue broadening the market for their products," says Jan-Erik Lindström, CEO of Nimbus Group.
In recent years, Nimbus Group has made significant efforts to increase its presence in the Norwegian market. In 2022, the Norwegian retailer Herholdt Andersen, with a strong position in the Oslofjord district, was acquired, and in 2023, the company acquired, among other things, the dealership rights for Nimbus and Paragon brand boats from Gressvik Marina in Östfold. Grimstad Bådsenter was started in 1979 and has long experience in the sales and service of motorboats and engines.
