WALLENSTAM: Expanded opportunities in Wallenstam's housing queue
Wallenstam has expanded the opportunities for rental agreements in its cost-free housing queue. For some time now, both newly constructed and existing apartments have been allocated via the queue. Through a registration via wallenstam.se, an annual account update and active involvement in the choice of area and type of apartment, greater opportunities are created in the search for housing.
"There are several advantages with registering on our housing queue. It is both easy and cost-free and as an applicant you have a wide choice of attractive residential areas and apartments to register your interest in," says Elisabeth Vansvik, Communications Director at Wallenstam.
Wallenstam started its housing queue in 2016 and there is great interest, today almost 249,500 people are registered. In 2024, a total of 850 apartments were allocated, which was slightly more than in 2023.
After registration in Wallenstam's housing queue, applicants get their own account with all the information. This is also where the letting process takes place through registrations of interest for vacant apartments. The starting point during allocation of an apartment is that all the letting criteria and queue rules must be fulfilled. In addition, the suitability for the apartment, connection to the area and the number of queue points are taken into account in order to ensure the best possible matching and tenant wellbeing.
In the Stockholm/Uppsala region, Wallenstam's apartments are also allocated via the Stockholm Housing Agency and Uppsala Housing Agency.
