<div class="abstract"><p>Nacka, Sweden, August 5, 2024: Geert Follens, Senior Executive Vice President and Business Area President for Vacuum Technique, has decided to retire. He will remain in his position until the end of 2024.</p></div><p>Geert Follens, born 1959, has held the position of Senior Executive Vice President and Business Area President Vacuum Technique and has been a member of Atlas Copco's Group Management since 2017. He joined the Group in 1995 and has held several positions in purchasing, supply chain and general management before his current role.&nbsp;<br>"On behalf of the entire Group I would like to thank Geert for his dedication and long service, he has been a valued member of Group Management and an appreciated leader", said Vagner Rego, President and CEO of Atlas Copco Group.&nbsp;"Geert has, during his career, significantly contributed to Atlas Copco Group's success, not least by having a crucial part in the establishment of the Vacuum Technique Business Area, but already&nbsp;before that, Geerts strategic leadership and successful results in global and local management were well established."<br>The recruitment of a successor to the role will be initiated soon. Geert Follens will remain in his role until end of December 2024 to ensure an orderly transition.</p>
