FIFAX Plc ("Fifax" or the "Company") has today signed a EUR 2.5 million loan agreement (the "Loan ") with Nordic Environment Finance Corporation ("NEFCO"). The loan is conditional and subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent. The Loan is secured and is to be repaid in substantially equal instalments during a period of approximately eight (8) years, with the first installment being repaid on 10 February 2026.
The Loan is disbursed in tranches, which are linked to and subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, regarding, among other things, achievement of certain thresholds for Fifax's realized order intake and sales, as well as obtaining supplementing financing. Provided that Fifax satisfies the conditions precedent, it aims to be able to draw down the first payments under the Loan during the remainder of 2024.
The Loan constitutes an important part of the remaining financing need required for completing the restart of the entire production facility as planned. However, drawing down the Loan and the completion of the restart of the entire production facility as planned will require that additional financing is obtained. Fifax continues to work further on additional financing solutions with various parties without delay.

Fifax in brief
Fifax’s vision is to be a forerunner in large-scale sustainable fish farming with a minimal impact on the environment, so that locally and sustainably produced fish can be enjoyed by its customers all year round. Established in 2012, Fifax utilizes ultra-intensive Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) technology based on the principle of an almost completely closed water circulation within the facility, where the fish live in large land-based indoor tanks. Indoor tanks better safeguard against external factors, and the environmental impact and pollution from the facility is significantly lower when compared to traditional fish farming in water bodies.
Fifax Plc’s shares have been listed in Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland.
