NEXT Biometrics, (NEXT), a leading provider of advanced Active Thermal sensor
technology, confirms new design win in India. NEXT's partner, Access Compute
Pvt. Ltd. (ACPL), has received an order for its L1 certified module for a new
use case and design win. The order is for one of the largest public sector,
banks in India, which will be using NEXT's fingerprint sensors in a tablet for
Aadhaar authentication purposes. Deliveries will start in Q1 2025.
The NOK 0.6 million order from one of the largest banks in India is for NEXT's
FAP20 sensors, which will be integrated in a tablet and used for Aadhar
authentication purposes. The order was received despite the upgrade of liveness
specification UADAI has made, which indicates the high confidence our partner
has in the reopening of the L1 biometrics market in India.
"We are very proud that our key partner has received this order from one of the
most prominent banks in the Indian banking industry. The L1 transition is
progressing rapidly right now with the banking sector leading the change,
closely followed by various other sectors", said Digvijay Singh Kanwar, Senior
Vice President and Head of Sales India, USA, EU and Africa (IUEA), at NEXT.
"The end customers now understand and appreciate the value of our liveness
detection and the added security it brings. As a positive result, we have
noticed an increased demand, where agencies specifically ask for our FAP20
Active Thermal technology fingerprint sensors. NEXT is well prepared to serve
the Aadhaar L1 market with its high-end sensors", concluded Digvijay Singh
Kanwar.
