WALLENSTAM: Wallenstam takes over the Sergel's scraper
Wallenstam has now taken ownership of the Sergel's scraper (Stigbygeln 5), the fifth of the iconic Hötorget scrapers, located next to Sergels Torg square in the heart of Stockholm. Preparatory work for development and refinement of the property is well underway and positive discussions with the tenants Qarlbo and their subsidiary Pophouse have resulted in new lease agreements for floors 15-18, which are now fully let, an area of just over 2,000 square meters.
"Our vision is to create a diamond of the Sergel's scraper, perhaps Stockholm's most iconic office property. I am very happy about the positive dialogue we have had with Qarlbo and their subsidiary Pophouse where we agreed on the extension of existing leases for offices and the Avicii Experience museum and also on the additional rental of office premises on floors 17 and 18," says Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam.
"We will refine and modernize the property as soon as possible to offer really attractive premises on all floors in the best location in Stockholm. I am looking forward to developing this fine premium property to the next level for both Stockholmers and tenants. For the exciting areas where Space previously operated, we currently have some different creative ideas and a number of interested parties. Among other things, there is a large stage with fantastic technology and 450 seats. Only time will tell what we end up with here," says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO and Regional Director of Wallenstam in Stockholm.
Even before taking possession, Wallenstam has been actively working with the property by preparing for the shortest and most efficient reconstruction process possible. Planning and procurement are now underway in order to create really modern, exclusive premises both internally and externally. All based on great consideration for the original design.
