Hexagon: New CEO has background in heavy industry solutions
On Monday morning, Hexagon announced a new President and CEO for the company. Anders Svensson will take office no later than July 20, 2025. Svensson will replace Norbert Hanke, who is currently serving as interim President and CEO.
Svensson joins Hexagon from Konecranes, a global leader in material handling solutions. During Svensson's two-year tenure, Konecranes successfully developed and implemented a new strategy that resulted in a stock return of over 100%. Svensson also has a long history at Sandvik, where the use of data collected by mining equipment has naturally played a major role, which could also be a good starting point for leading a data-driven business like Hexagon. Svensson holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering.
